About Us

Aspen Building and Electrical is a partnership of brothers Phil and Terry Law. Their background to the trade evolved from a grandfather who was a self-employed general builder for more than 30 years then finished his working life as a plumber for the Royal Wolverhampton School. Their father was a wood machinist for Harrison Sheldon Displays then Wolverhampton Glass until retirement. Both Phil and Terry were involved with helping both their grandfather and father from an early age so were never afraid of 'getting their hands dirty'. It was not a surprise when both of the brothers followed in the trade.

Phil Law

After leaving school in 1984, Phil did a 3-year apprenticeship for an electrical company, Stuart Installations, and gained valuable experience and knowledge. When he was made redundant in 1987 he joined his brother working as a labourer for Taylor Bradley Contractors. Taylor Bradley carried out both small and large contracts, including work for the Local Authority. Phil gained extensive knowledge and skills in a varying range of trades during this time. When the Directors of Taylor Bradley retired in 1999, Phil and Terry formed the partnership 'Aspen Building and Electrical'.

Terry Law

Terry left school in 1980 and started work as a bricklayer for Philip Blundell & Son Building Contractors. He was then made redundant in 1986 but one of the Directors formed Taylor Bradley Contractors who employed Terry. Terry gained extensive knowledge and skills in a varying range of trades during his employment. He was promoted to Site Foreman in 1996, with the responsibility of managing contract works on-site. When the Directors of Taylor Bradley retired in 1999, Terry and Phil formed the partnership 'Aspen Building and Electrical'.
